Sun is out in Punta del Este

Our final few days in Punta del Este were uneventful. The wind was blowing hard yesterday and we enjoyed a nice walk along the coast whilst looking for a place to eat. Our final choice was fast food joint full of local geriatrics and seemed ok at first, but ended up costing us £30 for a omelette and a burger. That was our first and last meal out in Punta Del Este.
Our hostel is so close to the beach and we got to enjoy the beautiful weather today. Had a few hours (mostly in the shade) watching the local surfers, one of whom was our receptionist at our hostel. It would be something to see this place in the full height of the season but other than a few families out with their dogs and the resident surfer crowd the town is empty. Rather looking forward to returning to Buenos Aires tomorrow for Creamfields. Some good music and more affordable dining options ;-)
