Experiencing the Argentine Tango

A quiet day of chilling in the hostel today, an opportunity to catch up on unfinished paperwork (Mark) and booking flights, ferry crossings and hostels (Nilgun).

The evening was far more interesting, we booked one of the top trip advisor rated live tango shows. It was truly stunning, so many twists and lifts,and how they manage to kick between each others legs and not hit something vital was astonishing.

Not content with just the live show, we wanted to experience a Milonga, a dance hall where the tango is danced by the patrons. The locals really were amazing, you could feel the passion and emotion of the dance. We obviously went there just to observe, however, whilst Mark was in the bathroom the oldest gent in the hall (approx 90 years and less than 5') asked me to Tango. My excuses of not being able to speak Spanish or dance the tango did not deter his persistence and before long I was on the dance floor with the cute Rico! Obviously Mark was very surprised when he could not find me at our table (and maybe a tad jealous?)!
